Much like claws, it was once common for the strongest men of the tribe, often hunters, to wear around their necks a necklace bearing the fang of a fierce animal they had captured to provide for their communities. More than a simple trophy, this pendant became an offering through which the wearer honored the animal for giving its life to feed his family.
The fang symbolizes not only strength, but also the courage to face one's fears, as well as abundance, since the animal from which it was obtained provided sustenance for the hunter’s family.
